A step closer to a new dream. ♥ ♥ ♥

Isang linggo ng pagod at non-stop brain activity... and it was all worth it. It was hard adjusting to a new task. Ang daming demands and very limited ang alotted time. At first I was in doubt na kaya ko. Pero everyone seemed to believe in me; I did not want to disappoint them.

I did it, yehey for me! And I was not just teaching, I was also learning. Hindi mo na talaga maiisip kung ano ba makukuha mo out of it. It no longer mattered whether I benefit or not. At the end of the day, what mattered was knowing I've contributed something important. That the people who I worked with would treasure me as their friend. That after the first phase, I was more than who I used to be.

Best Team.
Even when everyone already has their assigned team leads, I am overwhelm to hear that I will always be the best coach for these guys.

VicTeam.
Seeing everyone graduates made me so proud. These guys are my first group of babies to complete training.
Vic the 2nd Daw.
The quiet and kind girl who ripped all the awards at the very end. I will always be your proud ate and coach.

Congratulations to everyone. See you around!

Our everyday choices molds our tomorrow. Someone said the future is now. Someone said it is not finding the right person, but being the right person. Someone said our intentions are not always what become of our actions. Someone said time is a commodity that we can no longer afford to waste. I say, well, it is okay not to chase after dreams. I am content with gliding and slowly dancing my way towards it. For now. ;-)

the sick has to eat...

When all is not well, find comfort in food! This had been my motto since two days ago when I got sick. Thank you to Boss AB for the pizza and mojos and pasta! Kahit delayed and Becky's at Food for the Gods food trip namin, it's ok. I don't think I could make it anyway. For now, time to refresh and get my strength back.

Summer Diaries: 30 hours away from city lights

Kahit fresh from last day of work, nothing could stop us from the much awaited holy week special Team Building of 2013. Well, first out of town kasi namin together so under talaga siya ng "much awaited" category. Team spirit ang peg. Pang front namin na we wanted to make the team bond stronger more than ever, gusto din naman namin yun. Pero truth is, we just wanted to have fun!

So here's some (there's like 1000+ of them) of the pictures, and the stories behind....

Stopover to buy ice cubes and merienda sa mga gutom. Yep, she's from another world. :)))
So here we are! Welcome to us! :) Nawala ang gutom, antok, at pagod from biyahe.
the night over. Sand bathing, star gazing and mallows and hotdogs...
dahil nakakatamad, si Daryl (guy at the back) ang sweet gumawa ng lahat ng paraan para makakain kami ni ate pat (girl  in white shirt) ng marshmallows at hotdog.
marshmallows and hotdogs....well, cute lang siya tingnan pero in principle talaga, nakain na namin yung mga mallows bago naluto yung hotdogs.
the fire that kept us warm all night. sa sand kami natulog...este sila pala. around 1am, hindi namin nakayanan ni ate pat ang lamig kaya lumipat kami sa van to sleep for the nest 3 hours..
Island hopping. When our guide said may dadaanan kaming malalaking bato, we did not expect na ganito kalaki ang sinasabi niya. Adventure mode kami kaya wala kaming hindi kayang lagpasan.
The cave on our way to the neighbor island.
According to our tour guide, low tide kasi kaya accessible ang kweba na ito.
The white sand island. This was during the last few hours that we spent in Batangas. Nakalipat na kami ng kabilang isla and we just wanted to experience the sun and the sand. We built sand castles (na hindi naman talaga nagmukang kastilyo), played around, made silly pictures and bonded together.

On our way home, hindi pa din kami pagod (tinawag namin itong fighting spirit at final wave of adrenaline rush). We watched Sisterakas at Sosy Problems (it's maybe corny for you pero nagenjoy kami!). Stopover ulet sa Tagaytay to eat lunch sa Chicboy at Pancake House, then we went home. Pagod pero worth it all.

leader vs. follower, the very brief catch.

People struggle each day for their own personal battles. The hardest thing about trying too much to win the fight is that "too much" itself is an infinite phrase. And to add to the challenging factors, most of the times, our real archenemies are ourselves. Even when staying in control seems to be the dignified thing to do, sometimes, I just beg to disagree.

Here's a fictional story. The leader and the follower were having this conversation about professionalism, being immature, lame excuses, commitment, etcetera, etcetera...

Leader: Saying you will do it does not makes me comfortable that you really will do it. I need to see it happening first.

Follower: You don't believe me.

Leader: It's not that I don't believe you, it's just that you have disappointed me more than enough times for me to stop expecting too much.

Follower: I am trying my best, but still you complain that I never do enough. You know what the problem is? You see too much of the bad and not enough of the good things.

Leader: Maybe it's because there's no enough good to see.

Follower: Or maybe your definition of  good is just too perfect to be real.

Leader: Is it asking too much to have you do your job? You chose this, I did not force this on you.

Follower: I chose this because it was supposed to be fun. But right now, to be honest with you, I'm not happy at anything about this job anymore. Every move I make is either the wrong one, or the not correct one.

Leader: From where I'm standing, you are not happy because you define "happy" as an environment where what you want to happen, happens. But this world is not a wishing well, and even if it is, you will always run out of lucky coins. You have to know the limits of playing around and take things seriously, otherwise, it will eat you alive.

Follower: Then I quit.

Leader: That has been your decision all along so I am not surprised. Just remember, wherever you go and whatever you do, there will always be the leader and the follower. No matter who you are between the two, it takes a lot of one's everything to make the best out of who he is and put the world in awe.

Note: The leader is me. The follower is me. They are different entities. They both lives inside me. Sometimes, one dominates, sometimes, they are both superior that it gets so complicated. In the end, though, both has the power to make things right...
