Maginahawa St. is MASIRAMON STREET!

Vocab Check:
Masiram is the Bicol term for delicious.
Masiramon is the upgraded word, which means very delicious.

Since a lot of my friends keep on asking me to go with them and eat at Maginhawa St. lately, I finally made up my mind and decided to do this segment (or whatever you may want to call it). I want to share how great eating is, and how greater it is when you do it the Maginhawa St.-way.

I am no food expert, but I so love eating so...

For my debut post, here are my two favorites so far.

The Sweet Spot
A very comfortable and nice place, mostly visited and stayed at by students. Aside from its unique ambiance, the food is also to-look-forward-to. They have limited choices for main dishes and sandwiches, but living up to their name, the "sweets" will definitely satisfy your cravings.
             Price Range: 150+php
My Favorites: Ube Cheesecake, Beer battered Fish, and Iced Blended Coffee

Tornado Peri-Peri Chicken
We tried this place because when it was featured at PopTalk, the food looks really yummy. We were not disappointed! Their best feature, I guess, is their three sauces (Original, Tiger's Fury, Dragon's Breathe).
             Price Range: 120+php
My Favorites: 1. I forgot the name, but it is their best-seller chicken dish
                                with dragon's breath sauce.
                                 2. T-bone steak.

And so our journey to visit and eat in all the restaurants and food shacks in Maginhawa St. begins. So far I've crossed out six (I think?). If you want to impress your date and have a family night out and have fun, you can try this place. It's worth it, I swear!

Next to visit: Grill Queen, Snapshack, Infinitea

See you!

my candy machine...

I'm turning 21 (yeah, in a few years I would no longer advertise my age. hahaha) in a few days... and I just thought I would make a pre-birthday post before the day...

At and bida sa post ko? My candy machine na wala pang laman na candies dahil hindi ko pa siya nahahanapan ng perfect place for storage sa kwarto!
Ang candy machine na ito ay bigay ng kapustahan ko (yeah, i won the bet, yey!). Dahil isa siyang noble na nilalang kuno, he paid what's due. I did not expect it at that time...well, life is full of surprises or it's not life at all. The means do not justify its end.

We all have our own guilty pleasures, simple man o hindi ay hindi naman na talaga mahalaga. The point is napapasaya tayo nito. I have so many big plans for her (oo, babae siya, have not thought of her name just yet...any suggestions?). Nakikita ko na ang simula ng magandang pagsasama na dulot ng tunay na pag-ibig (seriously, this is happening).
And so I salute all of us (sama ako syempre) who find the joy in simple acts of love and thoughtfulness...para sa candy machine ko, sa Birthday gift, sa everything nice...

^________^ pwedeng walang kwenta 'to for you, pero this is my way of saying thank you....

the sick has to eat...

When all is not well, find comfort in food! This had been my motto since two days ago when I got sick. Thank you to Boss AB for the pizza and mojos and pasta! Kahit delayed and Becky's at Food for the Gods food trip namin, it's ok. I don't think I could make it anyway. For now, time to refresh and get my strength back.

Now Reading: To Kill a Mockingbird (by Harper Lee)

healthy thinking while eating unhealthy food...

He was teaching me how to pick locks. Yep, short-term goal ko ngayon ang mamaster how to pick padlocks. I even have a simple lockpick made out of paper clip (Chapter 1: How to make your own lock pick), courtesy of Buddy. Hahaha.

Isa ba siyang patatas, ube, icecream, or what? Well, hindi ko talaga alam so I have to google it first. :)))) Whatchathink?
