my 21st birthday Cliché...

Happy Birthday to me! And good morning to you, too! Because I've been awake for almost three and a half hours now doing nothing, really, but twist and turn and eat mini milky way and musketeers chocolates on my bed, I finally decided to do something productive (yep, this is me being productive).

What I'm about to do is Clichéd... my 21 birthday wishes for my 21st birthday (oh yeah, it's gonna be a long list)!

1. Book. This is a personal tradition. Either someone gives me a book, or I give me a book. I have a really long wish list for books so let's not get into that. But there's this one Filipino joke book I've been trying to buy that I guess I'm gonna get for this birthday (I just thought of that exactly a few seconds ago).

2. Song Dedication. This is another personal tradition. I wonder if there is one for this year.

3. Shooting star. Some people wish upon them, I just wish to see one of them during birthdays...okay, I also wish to see one during Christmas. They are just so magical it feels like everything is not happening even when they really are. (Fun Fact: I've seen a shooting star only once. And yeah, it was on a long-time-ago birthday).

4. New Girl Season 2. I love this series. sa mga panahong stressed at depressed ako, I could go all day bumming around and watching Jess live her life.

5. Fringe Season 4 and 5. This was my fierce mode series. Can you believe I finished the first three seasons in just two months? (FYI, I only had two rest days in a week).

6. A bottle of alcoholic drink. I don't drink so I'd love a bottle. Kampai!

7. A Movie Date. It was a plan I formulated when 2013 began...that special occasions can be celebrated alone as long as part of the day is a movie date.

8. Ritter Sport in dark green wrapper.

9. Ritter Sport in patterned dark brown wrapper.

10. Ritter Sport in Cappuccino flavor. I forgot the wrapper's color. For numbers 8 and 9, too. Since last year, this has been my favorite chocolate and in the seven flavors I've tasted, these three are so far the best. Can you feel how much I love ritter sport? They occupy three numbers on my limited 21 wishes!

11. Hug. When nothing seems to go right, a hug always makes a difference.

12. A Good Joke. A joke that would make me laugh all day and has no expiration date.

13. A Great Meal. What's a birthday with no food that would make me remember the day? Bad birthday... hihihi

14. A Letter. It could come from anyone, but it should come from that anyone's heart.

15. A Poem. It's classic but I still think writing for someone is the sweetest thing in the world.

16. A Birthday Picture.

17. A Cute T-Shirt. I'm just that t-shirt kind of girl.

18. A Birthday Card. People rarely appreciate greeting cards anymore. It's been all about social networking sites and techie means these days. It's sad how trends could break good sentiments. Facebook or Twitter greetings hardly make a person cry, even a phonecall could be difficult. But a greeting card? It's the epitome of things that make a person cry with joy.

19. Fireworks. Something that would make this birthday magical...

20. A Surprise. Something that would make this birthday the best ever...

21.

Note: Number 21 is a blank... you guys have a slot in my wish list. If given the chance, what would you give me? Make me happy. ^________________^

my candy machine...

I'm turning 21 (yeah, in a few years I would no longer advertise my age. hahaha) in a few days... and I just thought I would make a pre-birthday post before the day...

At and bida sa post ko? My candy machine na wala pang laman na candies dahil hindi ko pa siya nahahanapan ng perfect place for storage sa kwarto!
Ang candy machine na ito ay bigay ng kapustahan ko (yeah, i won the bet, yey!). Dahil isa siyang noble na nilalang kuno, he paid what's due. I did not expect it at that time...well, life is full of surprises or it's not life at all. The means do not justify its end.

We all have our own guilty pleasures, simple man o hindi ay hindi naman na talaga mahalaga. The point is napapasaya tayo nito. I have so many big plans for her (oo, babae siya, have not thought of her name just yet...any suggestions?). Nakikita ko na ang simula ng magandang pagsasama na dulot ng tunay na pag-ibig (seriously, this is happening).
And so I salute all of us (sama ako syempre) who find the joy in simple acts of love and thoughtfulness...para sa candy machine ko, sa Birthday gift, sa everything nice...

^________^ pwedeng walang kwenta 'to for you, pero this is my way of saying thank you....

Sky High sa Tagaytay..

Random plan na sinamahan ko.... and I loved it. :)

Summer visit to Tagaytay City with friends. And I'm posting pictures taken by the people in the pictures (other than me) sa blog na ito habang nakikinig sa Young, Wild, and Free.

Up Above in Sky Eye.
The ride of the day. It was all part of the plan so we rode
the soon-to-be famous highest ferris wheel in the country.
Photog Bummers.
When you're bored and tired of Manila air,
Tagaytay is the most accessible getaway.
Meet and Greet.
Invading foreign territory. Scary, but yeah, I survived.
And I'll choose to go again given the chance.
Food Trips.
Comfort everywhere, but damn, nothing beats food.
Everything Nice and Not.
What is important is that you are both there,
in good times and bad. Nothing else would matter if two is
always one; you two can be invincible.

Maybe I was not supposed to be there, maybe I really was. I only have one (long) sentence to say to those who are skeptic in all whatever this is: You can only enjoy your life if you open yourself to the possibility that happiness is not just about choosing to be happy, it is also about being content in whatever life offers you as happiness.

Everything ends. Things constantly change. People grow up and  sometimes they get fed up too. But what will remain real are those we value, those things we don't neglect, those we accept the way they are, those we consider part of who we are no matter where we go or who we are with. That even if time comes that they do need to change too, you could bend along with the change...and life goes on together.

Summer Diaries: 30 hours away from city lights

Kahit fresh from last day of work, nothing could stop us from the much awaited holy week special Team Building of 2013. Well, first out of town kasi namin together so under talaga siya ng "much awaited" category. Team spirit ang peg. Pang front namin na we wanted to make the team bond stronger more than ever, gusto din naman namin yun. Pero truth is, we just wanted to have fun!

So here's some (there's like 1000+ of them) of the pictures, and the stories behind....

Stopover to buy ice cubes and merienda sa mga gutom. Yep, she's from another world. :)))
So here we are! Welcome to us! :) Nawala ang gutom, antok, at pagod from biyahe.
the night over. Sand bathing, star gazing and mallows and hotdogs...
dahil nakakatamad, si Daryl (guy at the back) ang sweet gumawa ng lahat ng paraan para makakain kami ni ate pat (girl  in white shirt) ng marshmallows at hotdog.
marshmallows and hotdogs....well, cute lang siya tingnan pero in principle talaga, nakain na namin yung mga mallows bago naluto yung hotdogs.
the fire that kept us warm all night. sa sand kami natulog...este sila pala. around 1am, hindi namin nakayanan ni ate pat ang lamig kaya lumipat kami sa van to sleep for the nest 3 hours..
Island hopping. When our guide said may dadaanan kaming malalaking bato, we did not expect na ganito kalaki ang sinasabi niya. Adventure mode kami kaya wala kaming hindi kayang lagpasan.
The cave on our way to the neighbor island.
According to our tour guide, low tide kasi kaya accessible ang kweba na ito.
The white sand island. This was during the last few hours that we spent in Batangas. Nakalipat na kami ng kabilang isla and we just wanted to experience the sun and the sand. We built sand castles (na hindi naman talaga nagmukang kastilyo), played around, made silly pictures and bonded together.

On our way home, hindi pa din kami pagod (tinawag namin itong fighting spirit at final wave of adrenaline rush). We watched Sisterakas at Sosy Problems (it's maybe corny for you pero nagenjoy kami!). Stopover ulet sa Tagaytay to eat lunch sa Chicboy at Pancake House, then we went home. Pagod pero worth it all.

will cinderella dance again?

So the weekend is almost over...almost. Before my first real taste of 2013 summer ends, I want to share how fun everything had been the past three days (yeah, I'm on leave. bwahahahaha).

First, my bonding with the television after, like, a million years. There's Face Off, which was just so long. It was a pretty cool story but it was just so long for an exciting movie. And there's a lot of explosions. The pancakes I wanted to make waited for a long time. Then there's the really overwhelming My Bestfriend's Wedding (which I was watching along with F.R.I.E.N.D.S. in between commercials). After this movie, I was like "Whoa! That was just so real-life." This movie shows that we don't always get the happy ending we've always dreamed for ourselves. But that's the whole point, because what's in store for us could be a lot more cooler than what we've been imagining all along. Then there's White Chicks and 13 Going on 30 (which by the way is what i'm watching again now at Star Movies Channel) which I have watched many times but still amuses me. Then there's Keannu Reeves' Speed, which made my day. Aside from the fact that it's Reeves there, I like the victorious feelings from little accomplishments the characters showed every time something good happens.

Life is all about balance. And home is where most of us finds this balance. :)

The highlights, my sister's 22nd birthday and my cousin's 18th birthday. Here are the pictures (combined/edited versions) of a day with lots of fun and people and food.

what's with the banana? nothing, really, it was just so cute (and yeah, delicious!). in the picture are my crazy cousins.  we took this picture around 2pm, when no one was around yet but us.
the debutante's mother who cooks the best kare-kare and bibingka ever...
tito arnel's epic wacky face. he could not remember his FB password so we just took pictures instead of helping him reset his PW.
this was not edited. this was taken by my 11-year-old cousin. cute, ain't it?
the jump shot that was never successful. lesson: don't use smartphones.
the 22-year-old celebrant visiting the debutante's party.
the fun never ends... :))))
we were supposed to take pictures with our little girl cousin, Aliyah. she did not want to go off the bike so they did the jumping stuff instead.
It was tiring but it was worth it all. It was nice coming home, and even if I did not get any sleep at all for straight three days, I am really happy that I'm on leave (hahahaha). Happy Sunday to us all! Let's enjoy the rest of the weekend.

And hey...yes, Cinderella is surely dancing again.

Slow down you're doing fine
You can't be everything you want to be before your time
Although it's so romantic on the borderline tonight...

Too bad, but it's the life you lead
You're so ahead of yourself that you forgot what you need
Though you can see when you're wrong
You know you can't always see when you're right...

You got your passion, you got your pride
But don't you know that only fools are satisfied?
Dream on, but don't imagine they'll all come true..
When will you realize... Vienna waits for you?
